Year: 2006
Itsukushima Shrine was constructed around 1168 and its prototypical versions of current buildings were put in place. However, it was ravaged by fires twice, and no buildings around 1168 remain today.
This reconstraction model is designed from historical documents including the order for woods to rebuild.
This reconstruction model clearly shows that current buildings of Itsukushima Shrine closely follows the structure and features of around 1241.
